What is BS EN 6033 about?

BS EN 6033 is the third part of a series of documents on aluminium and aluminium alloys. BS EN 6033 specifies the tolerances on dimensions and form of wrought aluminium and aluminium alloy forging stock.

BS EN 6033 applies to extruded and rolled products. BS EN 6033 specifies classifications, designations and alloy groups requirements for alloyed aluminium wrought forging.

Who is BS EN 6033 for?

BS EN 603-3 on aluminium and aluminium alloys is relevant to:

  • Manufacturers and suppliers of aluminium and aluminium alloys
  • Aluminium technology centres and R&D laboratories

Why should you use BS EN 6033?

Forging is a manufacturing process involving the shaping of metal through hammering, pressing, or rolling. Stock is a section or a piece of metal used to make a forging.

BS EN 6033 provides information on alloys, alloy groups, chemical composition, types of bars, perpendicularity of cut ends, tolerances on dimensions and form of wrought aluminium and aluminium alloy forging stock.

BS EN 6033 provide guidance to the user to manufacture high-quality aluminium and aluminium alloy, which will wider the market reach for the product. It also helps the manufacturer to build customers trust and confidence in the product. With BS EN 6033 you can be ensured that the products consistently meet and exceed quality assurance targets.
